THE CRITICS HAVE SPOKEN
THEATRE BEYOND BROADWAY
“The fact is, it’s smart retelling and revealing too much would deprive you of the joy of experiencing it for yourself. No spoilers here.”
THINKING THEATER NYC
“Film and theater artist Mark Blane transposes the titular couple to twenty-first century New York City in a lean, captivating solo show that ingeniously reimagines the ancient Greek hero and sorceress as West Village actors.”
THINKING THEATER NYC
“Blane is consistently engrossing, expertly shifting not only voice but also body language as they hop among the show's various characters.”

Dea and Jay met at drama school over 15 years ago. They now live in the West Village with their 9 year old son when Dea, a rising film star, drops a bombshell during a Q&A for her new action flick: she killed her brother out of self-defense. Thus begins a media firestorm and a messy affair between Jay and the non-binary adult child of Dea's Hollywood agent. The wild tale unfurls from Jay's point of view.
